About

The New Zealand Lake Swim Series is a project in the making. A series of lake swim events encompassing, initially, lakes in the South Island. And even more initially - the south of the south island.

The events of The Ruby Swim Wanaka, The Legend Queenstown and The Clyde Swim have got together to further the huge interest in freshwater lake swimming. To enhance a solid community of swimmers is what we aim to do.

The Rules:

It's going to be kept simple. Each event has a roughly 1.0km, 2.0km and 4.0km distance, give or take (this does NOT include the Ruby 5km event). As each individual event develops we may be able to introduce more distances across the series.

Your finish position across each corresponding swim be allocated points via a system we will devise. We will simply add the points and the most (or least) points across the series win the overall.

After the last event in Queenstown all those who have entered at least two of the events will be in the running for one of the overall titles.

The inaugral 'Southern Lakes Overall Title' 2021.

It could be you!
